POUND CAKE WITH LEMON CUSTARD

Any meal is incomplete without a dessert. Made a pound cake with lemon custard for Thanksgiving Dinner dessert.

First Bake The Pound Cake :



Making a pound cake is easy. Have to take all ingredients 1 pound each.

I am taking everything half a pound in weight.

Ingredients:


1 cups butter room temperature

1 cups of sugar

4 large eggs

1 and a half cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla essence


Methods :


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a bundt pan nicely with cooking spray and set aside.

In the bowl or ina stand mixer mix the butter and sugar together for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix with butter and sugar mixture.

Add the vanilla essence.

Add flour and mix well until everything combined, scrape the sides as needed.

pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 75 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.

take out the cake and let it cool down for 15 mins.

When the cake bakes, in the meantime make the lemon custard ready.


Ingredients:


2 whole eggs

3 tablespoons Condensed milk

2 tablespoon of milk

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest


Methods:


Heat a medium pan with some water and bring it to boil over medium heat.

Take a glass bowl that sits comfortably over the pan with boiling water without touching the water.

In that top bowl, combine the eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice and beat with a whisk until smooth and incorporated.

Then add the condensed milk and milk and continue beating until the eggs cook and it thickens like smooth custard.

Cool it to room temperature.

Serve the slice of pound cake with lemon custard and mixed berries & chopped nuts.
