Valentine's Day Pizza: A creamy love!
This is really an easy-to-make pizza. When the crust is ready, just spread the topping and eat.
Prep Time: 2 hours and 30 mins
Baking Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4 slices
Ingredients:
For Pizza Dough:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons olive oil
3/4 cup warm water
For Building the Pizza :
1 mascarpone cheese
4-ounce smoked salmon
1 jalapeno
1 bunch of dill (chopped)
4 tablespoons caviar / masago /fish roe
Methods:
Combine warm water, instant yeast, and sugar in a bowl and leave it for 5 mins.
In a large mixing bowl, add olive oil, salt, flour, and the yeast mixture. Use a wooden spoon to mix well. You could use an electric stand mixer to mix it.
Make a slightly sticky dough.
Drizzle little oil into another large bowl.
With your hand, make the dough into a round ball and transfer it to the greased bowl.
Then cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and place it in a warm place.
Allow dough to rise for 2 hours or until the dough is doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees C.
After 2 hours, when the dough has risen, use your hands to gently deflate it and transfer it to a lightly floured surface.
Then knead the dough for 2 to 3 mins or until it turns into a smooth ball.
Divide the dough into two equal portions.
Take a portion and roll it into a 12" circle with a rolling pin.
Transfer the flat dough to a pizza pan and pinch the edges or fold them over to form a nice crust.
Use a fork to poke holes all over the pizza to avoid the dough bubbling up in the oven.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Take out the pizza from the oven and let it cool down a little.
Spread the mascarpone cheese over the crust and next spread the smoked salmon, sprinkle chopped dill and jalapeno and top it off with fish roe/ caviar/masago.
Enjoy the creamy pizza!
