A healthy breakfast should include whole grains, protein, and fruits or vegetables. The key is to find what works best for you and to mix it up to prevent boredom. Here is my everyday healthy breakfast!

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons chia seed
1/2 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon raw honey 1/2 cup nonfat greek yogurt 1/2 cup fresh strawberries 1/2 chopped banana 1/2 cup granola
1 tablespoon raisins
1 tablespoon dried cranberries
1 teaspoon pumpkin seeds
1 teaspoon pinenuts
Directions:
Soak the chia seeds in almond milk with honey overnight or at least 3 to 4 hours before layering. Then layer the soaked chia seeds into the bottom of a tall glass. Alternate layers of chopped strawberries, banana slices, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, cranberries, raisins, and granola with yogurt until the glass is filled to the top. Serve the parfaits immediately to keep the granola crunchy. You can add more strawberries and granola on top if desired.
