Dairy-free Thandai with Chai Liqueur!

Here's a Thandai with Chai Liqueur recipe that blends the rich, spiced flavors of traditional Thandai with the warmth of chai-infused alcohol. This is a perfect drink for Holi or any festive occasion!

Ingredients
For Thandai Base:
2 cups almond milk (for a dairy-free version)
2 tbsp almonds (soaked & peeled)
1 tbsp cashews
1 tbsp pistachios
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp melon seeds
5 green cardamom pods
10 black peppercorns
½ tsp fennel seeds
½ tsp rose water
3 tbsp sugar syrup ( as per taste)
1 tsp dried rose petals (Garnish)
15 strands saffron (Garnish)
For Alcoholic Twist:
60 ml (2 oz) chai liqueur ( Somrus Chai liqueur)
Coconut Vodka
Ice cubes (optional, if serving chilled)
Instructions
Prepare the Thandai Masala:
Grind almonds, cashews, pistachios, poppy seeds, and melon seeds into a fine paste using a little milk.
Separately, grind cardamom, black pepper, fennel seeds, and dried rose petals into a fine powder.
Make the Thandai Base:
Take the almond milk in a blender.
Add the ground nut paste and spice powder in it.
Add sugar syrup and rose water to it and mix everything.
Strain through a fine mesh for a smooth texture.
Refrigerate it for an hour.
Add the Chai Liqueur:
Once the Thandai base is cool, stir in the chai liqueur and Vodka (optional).
Mix well and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Serve:
Pour into glasses over ice if serving chilled.
Garnish with crushed pistachios, saffron strands, and rose petals.
